Dia 5 3/4" x H 3"
Made with hand-harvested wild clays from the Sierra Nevada mountains. Dipped in white kaolin slip and brushed with a course straw utensil on the interior ("guiyal"). Finished in a simple ash glaze. This particular bowl features a slightly coarser clay and includes naturally occurring impurities. A slightly outward shape embraces spring with an open heart.
The glaze for this piece will develop a rich patina with use, and is ideal for matcha ritual.
